The
Home Guards and Civil Defence Organization performs an important
function in training volunteers to deal with threats to internal
and external security, as well as in dealing with problems relating
to natural calamities and disasters. Volunteers of Home
Guards are supplementing police arrangements for security of Government,
semi-Government and private offices, institutions and complexes,
in addition to managing traffic on the busy roads. I exhort all
citizens to co-operate with us in meeting the challenges to internal
and external security and providing succour to bereaved families
during times of natural calamities and disasters.

The launch of this new 'website' for the Home Guards and Civil Defence
Department, Haryana is a happy moment for all of us and through
the medium of this website, I congratulate all the brave men and
women of the Home Guards and Civil Defence Department who are working
day in and day out to contribute towards the progress of the State
by providing a secure environment and helping the needy in times
of natural and man-made disasters. I am sure that the information
available on this website would be beneficial to the people of Haryana
